ADVANCED OXIDATION PROCESSES
Research has shown that many small molecules, such as pharmaceuticals and endocrine disrupting chemicals enter our water supply through combined sewage overflow events and
ill-equipped wastewater treatment facilities that cannot fully treat these chemicals. Our electrochemical advanced oxidation process (EAOP) can remove these:
i) emerging contaminants and
ii) dissolved organic compounds that have been found to persist in wastewater treatment effluents.
MEMBRANE AERATED BIOFILM REACTOR
Decentralized wastewater treatment and reuse is becoming an increasingly attractive option for underserved communities as stricter environmental regulations prevail. In order for this to be feasible, flexible and sustainable treatment options need to be developed. Our membrane aerated biofilm reactor is able to decompose high strength wastewater with significant energy savings (up to 90%) and less sludge output compared to air bubble diffuser technology.
